SALVATION

3 min read

Dear Friend,

I have longed earnestly to visit you and share a lot with you. Since I left to embark on the Journey to the Faith Land, it has been a refreshing experience. And I can’t seem to look back. You will love it here.

I have a new friend now. We have been Companions together on the Journey.

I would like to talk to you about finding a new life and joining me with my new Friend.

This Journey will be so needful to you if you have ever felt a deep longing for something more, something beyond the daily routines and the transient pleasures of this world.

In your quiet moments, do you sense a call to something greater, something deeply fulfilling and eternal?

If so, this yearning is not by accident; it's a call to discover your true purpose and destiny in God through the transformative experience and encounter with God.

You must have heard about being born again, born of the Spirit, being born of God. Even if not, being born again is not merely a change of mind, adopting a new set of beliefs or entering our mother womb the second time. It is a profound, spiritual rebirth that occurs when you decide to become a companion with the new Friend.

Pardon my manner, my new Friend name is Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ, is the Son of God who took upon Himself the penalty for our (my and your) sins through His death on the cross. He died for all our errors, mistakes, abnormalities, and abominations. And on the third day, He rose again, conquering death and offering us the gift of eternal life.

He was the one who gave me a new life, an eternal life.

He said, "Truly, truly, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God" (John 3:3). This new birth is not about entering our mothers womb and be reborn. It is the beginning of a new life in Christ, a life filled with love, peace, and eternal hope.

It is a new life replacing an old life of sin, frustrations and despondency.

Dear friend, why do you think we need to be born again?

Our natural state, due to sin, separates us from God. Sin is not just the wrong actions we commit but a condition that affects the very core of our being. The Bible says, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). Sin leads to spiritual death, but God, in His immense love, has made a way for us to be reconciled to Him through Jesus Christ, the Greatest Companion.

You may ask me, how then can you be born again. The answer is as simple as ABCD.

A. Acknowledge Your Need: Recognize that you are a sinner in need of God's forgiveness and grace.

B. Believe in Jesus: Believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins and rose again, offering you new life. Believe in the resurrection power of Christ to make you alive from spiritual death occasioned by your past sins.

C. Confess and Turn Away from Sin: Confess your sins to God, repenting genuinely, which means turning away from sinful habits and thoughts, and intending to live according to God's will.

D. Decide to Invite Jesus Into Your Life: Through prayer, invite Jesus to come into your life as your Lord and Savior, committing to follow and serve Him in truth and righteousness.

Your genuine decision will determine God's response to sending peace and assurance of salvation to you.

Jesus Christ will then come to hold your hand to start on the new Journey of peace and prosperity with Him. This will bring all of us closer than ever before.

If you're ready to be born again now, please say this prayer:

"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. Amen."

What Happens Next?

Being born again is the beginning of a beautiful journey with God. As you grow in your relationship with Him, you will experience transformation in your thoughts, desires, and actions. Seek fellowship with other believers, read the Bible to know God more, and communicate with God through prayer.

Remember, you are now a new creation; the old sinful life has gone, and the new life has come (2 Corinthians 5:17). Your past does not define you; your identity is now found in Christ.

May this decision mark the beginning of a profound transformation in your life, as you discover the depth of God's love and the joy of walking in His ways.

Welcome to the family of God!

Welcome to the Christ Companions family

Yours dearly,

A Christ Companion
